1. Twin Stars Diner, Moscow
Opening a restaurant, standing out and doing a pretty good job in a city that loves dining is really hard. Moscow has all kinds of cuisines, flavours, themed-restaurants and lots more. The perfect place for a foodie. But a Russian man, Alexei Khodorkovsky has managed to establish himself very well by opening his twin-themed restaurant. A Russian ambience, with lovely Russian food, Russian music in the background, people wearing Russian costumes, makes this restaurant a local favourite. But here comes the weird part. At the Twin Stars Diner, all the staff- the waiters, the chefs, the bartenders- are identically dressed twins. Khodorkovsky says, “It has been a real hectic job to find suitably qualified identical twins from all parts of the world, but isn’t it an adventure too? “. Sir, that adventure has really paid off. The Twin Stars Diner is hit 24 hours with locals and tourist from different parts of the world.

2. The Barbie Restaurant, Taipei, Taiwan
For the girls out there. Whether it is the Tokyo Cat Café where pet less people go and stroke small, cute cats and dogs and play with them and have dinner simultaneously or be it the all famous Hello Kitty phenomenon in Seoul. Any travel lover would know about the Far East’s love for cute and fluffy things. So it’s not much of a surprise when the first Barbie themed restaurant was designed in Taiwan. Pink, that describes the whole restaurant. The waitresses, the sofas, the walls, even the chefs have provided as much of pink food in the menu that they could. So a perfect place for all those Barbie lovers.
3. Le Refuge des Fondues, Paris
The birthplace of great, established and well known restaurants and many celebrity chefs, Paris. And it wouldn’t be a great surprise to find Swiss food in a restaurant in France. But the weird part begins when you order a wine- and it is served to you in a baby bottle! The owner says it’s just a ruse to avoid taxes on wine served in proper glasses. Now that’s what I call smartness.

4. The Royal Dragon, Bangkok, Thailand
If you think the Za Za Bazaar in Bristol, UK, serving 2000 daily diners a day is massive, then check this out. Bangkok's Royal Dragon is monumental. The colossal seafood place sprawls across 8.35 acres, has 1,000 staff, and requires 540 costumed waiters on roller skates to serve some 5,000 diners a day. A 1000 types of pan Asian dishes and variety of Thai food, can make this place one of the favourites for your taste buds. But it isn’t the food that attracts much of the crowd. It is the spectacle which the restaurant provides. Traditional Thai and Chinese music, dance and martial arts shows, and waiters walking on water and "flying" through the air on zip-wires. The food’s a bit expensive but the experience can be simply awesome when you are accompanied by a huge group of friends. (The bill also gets shared that way :P)
5. The Heart Attack Grill, Las Vegas, USA
5. The Heart Attack Grill, Las Vegas, USA
The heart of American food, Vegas. Michelin star restaurants all around. But we all know Americans like food, but they love it more when the amount of food given is enormous. The Heart Attack Grill serves obscenely gigantic burgers with deep fried fries in lard. Lovely. Yeah, yeah… I’m coming to the weird part. The diners, as they enter, are given hospital gowns to wear before they are served burgers containing almost 20 bacons and four beef patties. That’s just HUGE! The name is given by keeping in mind that the food given here can easily give you a heart attack. And after this, if the diner is too lazy to get up and walk till his car, he can be wheeled out on wheelchairs by the waitresses, dressed as nurses. Thus if you are prepared to gamble with your health, there isn’t a better place than the Heart Attack Grill.
