But Beauty is not only bought with ornaments,
Nor realised by others’ compliments,
Because in the end, it lies in our own assessments.
Beauty transcends all meaningless human standards. It encompasses differences while respecting other faiths, gender preferences and treating all as equals. It is a manner of viewing the world with hope and awe. It is a habit too. If only beauty could be taught, things wouldn't be easier but maybe our dedication to improve things may increase. Maybe the world wouldn't change but people would live in harmony. Mistakes would still happen but the acceptance would be more. Things may never completely change, but our approach could.
Like the sunrise or sunset, untouched and pure, the beauty in us can never be taken away. It will always be there, to give a new dimension. You may realise it when your hair turns grey, but whenever you do, everything will be alright, all the intricacies, the eavesdropping neighbour, the harsh teacher or the unfinished tasks and the everlasting pain. Because when you do, all will be a chapter without which your story wouldn’t ever have been complete.
